Welding procedures & qualifications
TIG and manual metal arc welding, supported by documented procedures and welder qualification records. We review the applicable coverage against the requirements of each project.
Carbon-steel and stainless-steel welding supported by welding procedure specifications (WPS). Our procedure records include qualifications to BS EN ISO 15614-1.
Our records include a qualified procedure for dissimilar steel fillet welds to BS EN ISO 15614-1, Level 2. The materials, joint details and welding position determine its suitability for the work.
Our welder qualification records include BS EN ISO 9606-1. Process coverage, material, joint type and continuity records are checked for the person assigned to the job.
Supporting procedure qualification records (WPQR/WPAR), inspection requirements and material traceability are reviewed as part of project preparation. Specialist non-destructive testing can be coordinated where required.

TTN is committed to protecting the people carrying out our work and those working around us. We plan the task, communicate the risks and coordinate with the client before work starts.
Task-specific risk assessments and method statements set out the work sequence and controls. Permits, isolations, access, lifting and confined-space arrangements are agreed where relevant.
Clear responsibilities, suitable supervision and task briefings help teams work safely around operating plant and during shutdowns.
We encourage people to raise concerns and stop work when conditions are unsafe. Changes to the task or site conditions require the controls to be reviewed before work continues.
Confined-space entry: personnel training records include entry, gas testing, escape breathing apparatus and emergency procedures. Personnel, isolations and rescue arrangements are assessed and agreed for each task.
Workforce skills
Our personnel records include CSCS and CPCS cards, CCNSG safety passports and IPAF operator training. Relevant categories, validity and competence are checked against the task and the site's requirements.
These relate to individual personnel and their roles. Trade qualifications and supporting training records can be discussed during project preparation.
Supplier assurance
SafeContractor and Avetta information forms part of our supplier assurance records. Contact TTN for the latest approval, registration and supporting documentation relevant to your organisation's requirements.

Specialist services
TTN can include specialist subcontracted services within our provision, coordinating the scope, specification and supporting documentation with the provider.
Structural steelwork can be provided through specialist subcontractors to the applicable BS EN 1090 requirements. The execution class and conformity documentation are agreed for the work.
Our specialist steelwork provision includes providers with ISO 9001-certified quality management systems. The provider's certification and scope are checked for the package being supplied.
Hot-dip galvanising to BS EN ISO 1461 can be included within our fabrication package through specialist subcontractors, with the finish specified to suit the work.
Environmental commitment
We are committed to improving resource use and considering more sustainable ways to deliver our work, alongside safety, reliability and the needs of the site.
We have started trialling Instagrid and EcoFlow battery power systems as alternatives to generators for suitable tasks during shutdowns.
The trials consider equipment demand, operating time, charging arrangements and site conditions to establish where battery power is a practical option.
Our aim is to reduce reliance on fuel-powered generators where feasible. We will use experience from the trials to guide wider adoption.
